To befriend and mentor youths (12-19 years old) with parent/s presently/formerly incarcerated.

Approach
|
| FOY takes on an intervention approach of befriending youths whose parent(s) are presently or formerly incarcerated, to celebrate and harness their energy and talent into positive outcomes. Through activity-based programs we befriend and impart moral values to the youths. We also create a platform for the youths to re-integrate back to their families and society. |

Profile of Target Group
|
- Youths aged between 12 to 19 years old
- At least one parent presently/formerly incarcerated
- Priority will be given to youths who are from low-income families
- All ethnic groups and no restriction of religions
- No geographical boundary (ie. Island-wide)

Programme
|
|
Adolescence is a developmental phase where one seeks to "find himself/herself". FOY activity- based programme employ a wholesome intervention and prevention approach through five components of services. These pillars are:
Moral Development - Good moral values through talks to distinguish between right and wrong and character development
Personality Development - Develop self-esteem & forging sense of identity. Allow formation of self-concept and early intervention of psychological disorders.

Skills Development - Life skills development through interest-based groups and camps
Relational skills Development & Social Development - Relationship with parents, siblings and peers of same/opposite sex through fun-filled activities.
Financial Assistance - Provision of funds, food ration for needy families to bridge service gaps. Provide or link them to available scholarship programmes and referral of employment.
