History

Life Community Services Society  ( LCSS ) is a Christian based registered charitable organization and a member of the National Council of Social Service ( NCSS ).

 LCSS works with the children and families who are mostly from the lower income group and children whose parents are incarcerated.

 

Milestones

1996        -       Life Community Services Society registered as a society ( ROS)

1999        -       Set up of Life Student Care Centre  in Hougang

2001        -       Set up of Life Student Care Centre in Sengkang

2003        -       Conferred the Institute of Public Character ( IPC) status through
                          NCSS Charitable Fund 

2004        -       Launch of Friends of Children (FOC) Programmes 

2005        -       Set up of Life Student Care Centre in Yishun 

                 -       Won the Best grandparenting & Intergeneration  Bonding
                         programmes 

National Family Week Award
National family week – Gen 3 Festival - Award presented by 
Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong to Mr. Goh Kng Yan, Chairman of LCSS

  

2006        -      Featured in The Straits Times under " Charity at Home"
