FRIENDS OF CHILDREN

~ To share love & give hope

Friends of Children seeks to provide support and transition care to children
(7 – 13 years old) whose parents are serving jail sentence. Children in particular are at risk when one or both of their parents are incarcerated. The anxieties of being separated from their parents and the shame of being rejected by their peers do make a serious impact on the child’s otherwise normal development.

These children require strong support and guidance to live without prejudice
and contempt. As such, during the transition care, the children under our programme, are taken care of in areas such as emotional, social, physical, financial and educational.

“for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.”
